How your data is collected, used, and stored.

This Privacy Policy applies to the Meal Planner & Shopping List app offered by FortInsight. It explains what information we collect, how we use it, where it is stored, and what choices you have when creating an account, signing in, saving planner data, unlocking access, and managing your account.

Information we collect

• Account information such as your email address and chosen user name.
• Authentication details handled by Supabase when you sign up, sign in, reset your password, or update your account.
• Planner content you choose to save, such as meals, ready meals, weekly meal plans, recipes, shopping items, stores, purchase history, and related planner settings.
• License-related information used to unlock access, such as the email address and license key you submit for verification.
• Limited device-side storage such as session information, saved license state, and app data stored in your browser so the app can keep you signed in and remember your access on that browser.

How we use your information

• To create and manage your account.
• To save and sync your planner data across devices when you sign in.
• To verify licensed access and protect the app from unauthorized use.
• To let you update your profile, reset your password, or delete your account.
• To operate, secure, and improve the app.

Where your information is stored

• Account authentication and planner data are stored using Supabase.
• Some secure server-side features, such as license verification and account deletion, may be handled through hosted backend endpoints operated for this app.
• Some information is also stored locally in your browser, such as session persistence, saved license state, and planner data used by the app on your device.

Who we share data with

We do not sell your personal data. We share data only with service providers needed to run the app, including:

• Supabase for authentication and database storage.
• PayPal, which is currently used to process purchases when you buy access to the app.
• Hosting or backend providers used to run secure app features such as license verification or account deletion.

Payments and license access

If you purchase access to the app, your payment is currently processed by PayPal. We do not store your full payment card details inside the Meal Planner & Shopping List app. We may receive limited purchase or license information needed to confirm access, troubleshoot issues, and support your account.

Local storage and device data

The app uses browser storage on your device to remember session state, saved license status, and other app information that helps the planner work properly. If you clear your browser storage, sign out, switch browsers, or use a different device, some locally stored information may be removed or may not carry over unless it has already been synced to your account.

How long we keep data

We keep your account and planner data while your account remains active, unless a longer period is required for security, fraud prevention, or legal compliance. When you delete your account from the account page, we aim to remove the account and associated app data from our systems, subject to any backup or legal retention limits.

Your choices and rights

• You can update your user name, email, and password from the account page.
• You can delete your account from the account page.
• You can sign out at any time.
• You can clear locally stored browser data from your own browser settings.
• You can contact us to ask questions about your data or request help with deletion or correction.

Security

We use third-party infrastructure designed to help protect account and stored data. Supabase-secured app traffic uses HTTPS, and Supabase documents that its hosted platform protects data in transit and that projects are encrypted at rest by default. Even so, no online service can guarantee absolute security, so please use a strong password and keep your login information private.

Access to your data

We do not sell your planner data or routinely read your meal plans, shopping lists, or recipes as part of normal app use. However, your information is stored with service providers that help run the app, and authorized access may still be possible when needed for support, security, maintenance, account recovery, fraud prevention, or legal compliance.

International processing

Your information may be processed or stored in countries where our service providers operate. By using the app, you understand that your information may be transferred to and processed in those locations.

Children's privacy

This app is not intended for children under 13, and we do not knowingly collect personal information from children under 13.

Changes to this policy

We may update this Privacy Policy from time to time. When we do, we will update the effective date on this page.
