This Privacy Policy applies to the Meal Planner & Shopping List app offered by Elan / FortInsight. It covers the information you provide when creating an account, signing in, saving planner data, unlocking access with a Gumroad license, and managing your account.

Information we collect

• Account information such as your email address and chosen user name.
• Authentication details handled by Supabase when you sign up, sign in, reset your password, or update your account.
• Planner content you save, including meals, recipes, shopping lists, categories, stores, pantry checks, next lists, and reports.
• License-related information when you unlock paid access, such as the email and Gumroad license key you submit for verification.
• Limited device-side storage such as session data and license state stored in your browser so the app can keep you signed in and remember unlocked access on that browser.

How we use your information

• To create and manage your account.
• To save and sync your planner data across devices when you sign in.
• To verify paid access and protect the app from unauthorized use.
• To let you update your profile, reset your password, or delete your account.
• To operate, secure, and improve the app.

Where your information is stored

• Account authentication and planner data are stored using Supabase.
• Server-side functions used for features such as license verification and account deletion are hosted through Vercel.
• Payments and license issuance are handled by Gumroad.
• Some information is also stored locally in your browser, such as session persistence and unlocked-license state.

Who we share data with

We do not sell your personal data. We share data only with service providers needed to run the app, including:

• Supabase for authentication and database storage.
• Vercel for secure backend functions and app hosting.
• Gumroad for payments and license verification.

How long we keep data

We keep your account and planner data while your account remains active, unless a longer period is required for security, fraud prevention, or legal compliance. When you delete your account from the account page, we aim to remove the account and associated app data from our systems, subject to any backup or legal retention limits.

Your choices and rights

• You can update your user name, email, and password from the account page.
• You can delete your account from the account page.
• You can sign out at any time.
• You can contact us to ask questions about your data or request help with deletion or correction.

Security

We use third-party infrastructure designed to help protect account and stored data, but no service can guarantee absolute security. Please use a strong password and keep your login information private.

Children's privacy

This app is not intended for children under 13, and we do not knowingly collect personal information from children under 13.

Changes to this policy

We may update this Privacy Policy from time to time. When we do, we will update the effective date on this page.
